At this point you have played two or three games and you understand the basics of how to build a regular wall or climb mountains and houses. I, also, imagine that you had your first contact with some weapons and you learned a few things about their characteristics.

Now you are ready to start practicing!

Your first 100 games must be routed and organized in order to achieve the best results possible within a small amount of time. So, let’s start with your drop and landing. It is still the beginning, so your primary concern is to learn how to use your weapons more effectively and increase your map awareness at the same time.

In the map above, I’ve circled some specific areas. The “how dangerous an area is”, is ranked in the following order: Black > Red > Orange. Your main concern should be to where can you attend early game fights. However, Tilted Towers are a long shot plan, if you are not very experienced, but if you feel confident enough just give it a try. Just stay alert, enemies may appear from literally everywhere! Otherwise, try to land in an area with black or red circle and be familiar with it. Find all the loot chest spawns and try to land there first in order to gear up and be ready to battle.Look to the top-left of your map and you’ll see both Junk Junction and Haunted Hills tucked away in the corner. Just to the right of these two locations is a small group of ruined houses, chock full of juicy loot chests. This is a prime location if you’re looking for somewhere pretty quiet, and want an easy time finding those all-important golden chests.Once you’re done here it’s worth moving over to Junk Junction, Haunted Hills or even Pleasant Park if you’ve got the time. All of these areas are likely to be populated with stragglers who’ve done all the looting for you – be aggressive and claim it as your own.Look to the top-left of your map and you’ll see both Junk Junction and Haunted Hills tucked away in the corner. After you drop from the Battle Bus:

a) Search, immediately, for loot chest or any weapon you can find.

b) Whenever you find any kind of shield, equip it instantly. It may save your life.

c) Harvest some materials in case you need stairs or walls to defend yourself.

d) Wherever you hear a gunfight, move to that location.

e) Choose a few houses which you should learn to loot as soon as possible. Furthermore, don’t forget to check the house for more guns or ammo boxes (ammo is essential). Remember the locations in order to check them every time. Ammo is your ticket to victory.

f) Do not worry much about building in your first fights, but it should be nice to start learning how to increase your resources amount. Friendly advice: Do not walk by a wooden pallete without            harvesting it!
g) It is easy to understand that sometimes you may feel scared to run in the open, but trust me, crouching in a corner of a house or inside a bush with a shotgun in your hand, will not improve you        at all. You need to get out there, fight other guys. It’s okay if you die. You will die many many times. Soon enough you will get your first kills and game by game your experience will increase! Do      not forget to spot your mistakes every time you die, because

those mistakes were the reason you died and try to avoid doing them in your next games.

Best places to land

East of Junk Junction and Haunted Hills

Look to the top-left of your map and you’ll see both Junk Junction and Haunted Hills tucked away in the corner. Just to the right of these two locations is a small group of ruined houses, chock full of juicy loot chests.

This is a prime location if you’re looking for somewhere pretty quiet, and want an easy time finding those all-important golden chests.

Once you’re done here it’s worth moving over to Junk Junction, Haunted Hills or even Pleasant Park if you’ve got the time. All of these areas are likely to be populated with stragglers who’ve done all the looting for you – be aggressive and claim it as your own.

Between Shifty Shafts and Flush Factory

Plonked right in the middle of both Shifty Shafts and Flush Factory is a little area with an enormous wooden chair, a diner and a couple of houses.

This isn’t a glamorous location filled with chests, but it does serve its purpose as a quiet place containing just enough gear to get you up and running. You’ll want to loot everything swiftly before scouring the outer areas for more. There’s an abandoned house nearby which contains a chest, and loads of trees to harvest too.

We recommend moving onto larger locations like Flush Factory or Shifty Shafts once you’ve cleaned up shop. You’ll be sufficiently geared up to assassinate any enemies, and as these areas are hotly contested it’s likely you’ll stumble into some fights and get the drop on multiple foes as well.

Motel Near Anarchy Acres

Just off to the left of Anarchy Acres is a nicely positioned motel with some pretty tasty loot. Get ready for a fight though, as this place is hotly contested in a typical match.

To increase your chances of survival, land on the abandoned houses and begin working your way into the motel. Use the gaps in the walls to seek out any opponents, stay on the rooftops and you’ll gather vital intel on enemy positions.

Listen out for chests in the motel and make sure you check the trucks outside – they sometimes carry chests too.

Miscellaneous tips

  • Do not loot your enemy immediately after you eliminate him. There might be others close to you that heard the gunfight, so check your surroundings first, build some walls to heal up and then continue looting.
  • Use traps in high traffic areas. Entrances to a house, back entrances, or anywhere players are likely to rush in to take something from a particular area are great targets. Even if it doesn’t kill them they will take plenty of damage which makes it easier to finish them off.
  • Sometimes two minds are more consistent than one. So, find a partner and attend some duos. I suggest to choose a partner with the same skill as yours. Make sure you stick together at all times, and don’t get drawn off into solo fights. If you get taken out by someone else, one of your allies can assist in getting you healed back up, but only if they’re actually nearby. Getting buildings cleared asap is vital as well, and a team of friends can clean a house out of loot much more quickly than a single player can.
  • Always crouch unless you absolutely have to run. You have less recoil on your weapons and you make less noise while you’re in this stance. You are a little bit smaller when crouching too, so it will increaese your chance of winning the gunfight in question. Move around in a crouch when you can.
  • Open doors are usually a very bad omen, and there are two scenarios to be wary of in particular here. Either someone is inside and is busy looting the place, which means you need to be ready to take down a target, or it’s already been looted clean and going inside is a waste of time. Assume danger lies inside if you must go in. Even better, close the door behind you, as this means you’ll be able to hear if anyone is trying to sneak up on you undetected! When you’re both inside, you have the advantage as you can find a good spot to attack them from.
  • When presented with multiple weapon options, take the highest rarity. The highest rarity version of that weapon does more damage and has less recoil.
  • Never engage in a gunfight unless you absolutely have to or are confident you’ll kill them fast. Don’t shoot from a distance unless you’re sure you can kill them quickly, as if you miss or lack the firepower to eliminate them quickly, you’ll simply alert them to your presence – not to mention anyone else who might be lurking around nearby.
  • If you’ve got a decent set of headphones lying around the place, plug ’em in and make good use out of them. Early awareness of enemy player activity can provide such a huge advantage that being able to gain that first advantage can often determine the outcome of a fight before a single shot’s been fired. Even using cheap cans can give you an advantage, and certainly don’t play with music blaring in the background!

Be patient, improve your skills and you will achieve victories soon!
