Clash of the consoles. In one corner is the old champion PS4 Pro and the challenger is the Xbox One X. Xbox One X had lots of preparations and will be ready for the battle in November. Lots of money and time is put into research and build of the Xbox One X which is the favorite in the clash.

Which One is The Better?

Console Comparison

PS4 Pro was compared with a Xbox One S and was apparently taking the victory. But that comparison was not fair because Xbox One S was supposed to be compared to PS4. PS4 Pro was just out of the league and did not have real competition on the market. That why Microsoft decided to work on “Project Scorpio” and release of the Xbox One X to take the glory from Sony.

All existing game titles will be playable on both consoles, so that is not a difference. But there is a difference in hardware. Xbox One X will come with the most recently released processor with 8 cores and 2.3GHz. PS4 Pro has the same number of cores in the processor, but the frequency is lower, 2.13GHz. The frequency difference is not a big deal, and you will probably not notice any significant difference if only comparing these two processors. But the real difference is in graphics. Xbox will have 6 TFLOPs with 12GB GDDR memory which is enormous power. Sadly PS4 Pro has only 4.12 TFLOPS and only 8GB GDDR memory. TFLOPS stands for trillion floating point operations per second, and the higher the number, the better the performance and we see that there is a significant difference in TFLOPS.  There is also a decent difference in the memory bandwidth. Xbox One X runs on 326GB/s while PS4 Pro is on 218GB/s.

There is a significant difference in the hardware but will the difference be noticeable to the naked eye is the question that reminds in the air all the way to the November when Xbox One X will finally be released, and all speculations will be shut down.

Because of hardware difference, it is evident that games will run better on Xbox One X, as well they will load faster. But Xbox One X also give options to the user to choose whether he wants to run games at native 4K and enjoy the highest possible details or maybe he wants to use the 1080P resolution with better performance and maximum possible frames per second. Sadly PS4 Pro does not give this option, and all the games will be run on predefined settings.

Xbox One X Exclusive Games

Motorsport game Forza 7

Xbox One X does not have a big list of exclusive games. Xbox one X will be released with a Forza Motorsport 7 which is the latest car racing game of the long franchise. But Microsoft really needs more exclusive games to battle the Sony. And the only other game worth to be mentioned is Halo, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Thankfully things may change because there is a huge list of enhanced games list especially for Xbox One X which will give more details on the screen and most of the pro gamers will sure go with the Xbox One X and their enhanced games list.

Players will be able to play games like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Darksiders III, EA SPORTS FIFA 18 and more than 100 other titles that are already enhanced or will be improved for the most powerful console on the market.

PlayStation 4 Exclusive Games

PS 4 Game Crash Bandicoot

In this category, the winner is clearly PlayStation 4 Pro. With so many exclusive games many players will go with PS4 Pro just to play some cool titles that are exclusive only to the Sony console, in other words, you can not play these games on the Xbox console. Gran Turismo Sport is the moto racing game, just like the Forza Motorsport on Xbox. But PlayStation 4 has many cool games, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, Shadow of the Beast and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Many gamers will choose PS4 Pro just because of Uncharted and Last of Us games. These two games are number one console games, and that is a big blow for the Xbox and their new console which sadly lacks exclusive games. And if you buy Xbox One X you will not be able to play Sony PlayStation 4 exclusive games, and that is just too big difference for many gamers because after all gamers are here for the games.

PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold

Both memberships cost the same money, so that is not the difference. But there are slightly different options in each of membership. Both of the membership plans offer free games and free multiplayer online gaming. If you are a member, you are also getting discounts and better deals on new games. The only thing that PlayStation Plus is not offering and Xbox Live Gold is having on their list is the Skype and Live TV. With Xbox Live Gold you can enjoy live TV for free.  And Skype is just another tool to chat with your friends that is under Microsoft ownership.

The Winner of The Clash is Unknown

To choose from Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro is a hard thing. Without a doubt, Xbox One X is the most powerful console on the market, and it uses the most advanced technology to provide crystal clear picture at highest possible 4K resolution. But PlayStation 4 Pro has a brand name in the gaming world. And because of the brand, they own some games that every gamer need to play, and unfortunately, these games are Sony PlayStation exclusive games. On the other hand, Xbox One X has Xbox Live Gold membership which gives you access to free Live TV, and with that, you can watch live news, FOX, ESPN and enjoy sports. And if that is not enough did I forgot to mention that Xbox One X is also a 4K Blu-Ray player with Dolby Atmos surround and with that you can enjoy the movies at home in the 4K UHD resolution with special sound effects. All these differences make the final decision on which console is the best a hard thing. Some people will prefer exclusive games, while others will prefer 4K movies and playing games at maximum possible resolution.
